About Me
I am a Christian wife, mother, and writer. I’m also an avid reader. I enjoy a wide variety of genres and writing styles, and I tend to skip around a bit with my own writing choices. I write poetry, songs, short stories, novels, vignettes, and more. I’ve been writing since I was a child and, for a variety of reasons, I am only now seriously pursuing getting published. This website is a place where you are welcome to follow my reading and writing journey.
A Few Fun Facts
One of my favorite authors is Dorothy Parker. Another is Agatha Christie. Yet another is Ernest Hemingway. Oh, and I do love Charles Dickens! And Mark Twain! As you can see, I could never choose one favorite author. Also, I do read contemporary authors as well, I just can’t think of a favorite at this time. Although, as I write this, Mitch Albom and Kristin Hannah come to mind.
One of my favorite fictional characters is Hercule Poirot. Another is, of course, Sherlock Holmes.
My favorite childhood book is probably Heidi by Johanna Spyri.
My favorite way to write is with a wooden pencil, sometimes pen, and real paper. I also have an odd affinity for typewriters, although I no longer own one and I do in fact use my laptop all the time. I just have a quirky preference for analog over digital, but my reality is a blend of both.
I love coffee. Hot, strong, and black coffee only. Never iced, and no frou-frou sugary nonsense. Bold, flavorful, hot coffee.
